We say that the youth of the time are quite strange. We say that they don’t care about the world. We condemn them, because they don’t care about the subjects we care about and because their morals are weak. But haven’t we heard these sentences from our elders when we were growing up? Haven’t we got condemned with running away from taking responsibility, or got accused with being disrespectful and lazy? Those youth of the time, who used to be called, ‘You can’t become a real man’; those men who are now running companies, please raise your hands! The youth of the new age are the metamorphosed form of the ones who raised them. The people who raise them are also shocked about the fact that their children don’t really look after them! Isn’t it so; a chicken lays chicken, where does this frog come from? The parents never take the “time” factor into account, which actually acts like a radiation factor! When the time goes by they judge their children without taking factors like outside effects, technology and the changing survival conditions into account. If there had been a PC when they were growing up, they would also be charmed with this borderless world so much as to forget to leave away from its screen. The parent’s game has been missing the neighbor girl for ever, whose nose he has seen from up against the window, playing with the circle and climbing trees when suddenly the radio came into his life and he has got stuck to it. The circle then, had been removed to the shelf, the neighbor girl to the memory dump and the tree had been left to its loneliness. Then he had met television and he’s still sitting before it. If you’re going to be something be a doctor, be an engineer, to guarantee it be an official. Do you want to be hungry, by wanting to be an environment engineer? What plan? I won’t let people call my daughter as a city planning student! Turkey has wheat and vegetables enough to feed the world (The poor man is still remembering the information in the edition of the geography book, which was published 30 years ago. This is going to be another observation and written work subject probably.) What are you going to do by reading agriculture without soil my child? According to the elders all the youth are dumb and according to the new generation all the parents are narrow-minded!

        In every age it is possible to find a philosopher who complains about the new generation. Almost the same sentences are recorded in the 6^th century in Rome, on the 3000 year old inscriptions of Egypt and in the middle age Europe: “I don’t trust the new generation; I’m afraid to trust them our values. Where are our idealist children? They are so careless, unfocused, fantasist, go with the flow kind and selfish.”

           When the society gets older the civilization grows younger. How can human breed be able to stand in the same thought line and soul comprehension? Is the surrounding pressure that you were opposed to same as the swindles, the requirements, the technology, and the life necessities that they were opposed to? How many commercial (goods to pay attention to) signals a day were your eyes opposed to and how many commercials rain down on the new generation within 24 hours? If the number of the doctors who live a miserable life and the reputation of being a teacher and the medical opportunities have changed, then can you unite in the same envision of future? In your era would the plenty pictures of the primary school graduates get applauded as “reputable successful businessman” while they were striking it rich? The traditional hard “akide” candy with nut is also admired by them as well however when they can have plenty of different kind of candy isn’t it unfair to ask them to stick to the akide candy just as passionately as you are?

This subject goes on and on, the place we have reserved here is already tight! Instead of complaining, you just teach the main principles of being a human to your child fairly enough. Compassion, diligence, respect to the land and missing for the information…Just let go of these into the life. Your child will find his or her way through without hurting anyone.
